Beanstalk Of Illusions (also known as Beanstalk Of Illusions: Starring Mickey Mouse) is an action platforming game featuring "The Brave Little Tailor" version of Mickey Mouse developed and published by Sega, and co-published by Disney Interactive for the Bandai Extreme, Bandai Revolution, and Bandai PocketTurbo Plus. It's the 5th in the Illusion series. Unlike the 4 previous games, Mickey is in his 1930's design.

Story[]

The king was about to give tailor Mickey the crown for defeating the giant (from The Brave Little Tailor short), but then a rumble out of nowhere happens. It was Willie the Giant, and he takes Princess Minnie away to his castle high in the clouds. Mickey then sets off to an adventure to rescue Princess Minnie from Willie. Mickey then meets a dragon fly named Evinrude who becomes Mickey's friend to help out on his adventure.

In each world he completes, he gets a bean, after collecting all 3 beans, he plans them and they grow into a giant beanstalk that leads to Willie the Giant's world. Mickey then battles against Willie and saves Princess Minnie from being eaten by that terrible giant.

Willie's castle was about to collapse and Mickey, Minnie, and Evinrude escape from the giant world. Then Princess Minnie gives Minnie a kiss and the end.

Gameplay[]

Castle Of Illusion Gameplay

Gameplay is the same as the Genesis Castle of Illusion game, but you now have 2 main items: scissors that are use to cut through bushes and anything soft, and a pin with strings to sew and climb up to high areas. And you have Evinrude as your helper, he will help you cross over the water in certain areas of the game.

There are only 3 worlds in the game, but they have several acts in each world: Forest World (3 Acts), Valley World (6 Acts), and Giant World (4 Acts). When you complete a world, you get a bean. Collect all 3 beans to grow a beanstalk that will enter to the Giant World.

Trivia[]

For some reason, the Bandai Extreme and PocketTurbo Plus versions mainly uses sound effects from the Sound Ideas sound effects library Hollywood Series 4000. Unlike the Bandai Revolution version which uses its own sound effects made for the game.
