The Death series is a franchise created by Alex Smeantalo, and published by Apple Entertainment, Inc. There are three primary developers: Sierra Entertainment, Elite Games and Court Games.

The series began in 2000 with the original Death game. It has since gone on to become a very profitable series with toys, expansion packs, and even movies.
