| Dig Dug|
|First release||Dig Dug (1982)|
|Console of origin||ARC|
The Dig Dug universe, or the Mr. Driller universe, refers to both the Dig Dug and Mr. Driller series in reference to their appearances within the Super Smash Bros. fighting game series. The Dig Dug titles feature the player attempting to defeat all enemies by digging around them to drop boulders or other objects on top of them. Its spin-off, Mr. Driller, features similar digging gameplay, though with the objective to clear all the blocks from the screen.
The series has received minor representation in canon Super Smash Bros. titles, debuting Dig-Dug enemy Pooka as an enemy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS's Smash Run mode.
Canon Representation Edit
Super Smash Bros. 4 Edit
| ||Pooka||Pooka, a recurring enemy in both the Pac-Man and Dig Dug series, appears as an enemy in the 3DS-exclusive mode Smash Run. They attack the fighter by travelling through the ground or walls before popping out to knock them back. They inflate when they are attacked, and will gradually deflate if not.|

These little monsters from the Dig Dug series like to jump around and throw themselves into people. They'll burrow through the ground to protect themselves from attacks as they approach. If you do manage to hit one, it'll puff up, growing with each attack until it explodes. Try hitting enemies with its explosion!

|Namco Arcade '80s Retro Medley 1||Though the series does not have a music track to call its own, several pieces of music from the original Dig Dug are featured in the Namco Arcade '80s Retro Medley 1 song that plays on the Pac-Land stage. The pieces in particular are the level start, main theme, and level clear themes.|
