Drift (Japanese: ドク Doc) is a jock frog villager from the Animal Crossing series, appearing in all canonical games since Dōbutsu no Mori. In the original games, Drift was an Islander, and resided upon an island where he would have a love of oranges and an allergy to apples.

AppearanceEdit

Drift is a frog with red, yellow, and brownish gray colored markings all over his body and face in what looks like a "smeared on camouflage" design, and largely resembles a salamander. He has a huge smile and initially wears the No. 67 Shirt, which is scarlet with a light blue 67 on it. In Animal Forest + and Animal Crossing he appears as an islander and hence wears a Blue Aloha Shirt. He is similar to Sly and Camofrog, as they all share a camouflage skin pattern..

HouseEdit

K.K. Country Cover

Drift has a western-themed house. He has no music playing in it and has a red gyroid called a Mini Drilloid. He has a watering trough, a wagon, some broken posts, and other old western-themed furniture. He has the Western Vista (wall) and Western Desert (floor). If you give him a stereo, he plays the song K.K. Country.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, his house has a jungle theme, with jungle wallpaper and green furniture.

PersonalityEdit

Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.
Drift has a jock personality, which means he will have a keen interest in sport and fitness, making him appear competitive and in some cases rude when talking to other villagers, usually criticizing their fitness. He will appear slow-witted and absent-minded when talking about deep, meaningful things. He will get along well with peppy villagers, but get confused by the choice of lifestyle followed by lazy villagers, who appear opposite to the jock personality. He may offend and upset snooty and cranky villagers.

AppearancesEdit

My Animal CrossingEdit

Drift appears, once again, in My Animal Crossing. Like previous games in the series, Drift will often tell of how he would do some exercise, and hurting himself - proudly - in the process. Sometimes, Drift talks about very meaningful things, but often comes across as slow-witted and somewhat absent-minded. He is also known to mock other villager's physique - especially lazy villagers - but is often a popular figure in town.

Drift's favourite holiday is the Sports Fair, as it allows him to show off his active personality.

Like in Dōbutsu no Mori, Animal Crossing and Dōbutsu no Mori e+, Drift is allergic to apples, and loves oranges. If an apple is given to him, he will give it back to the player and request medicine from them, immediately, saying that he will break out in hives if he doesn't get it "soon". If medicine is given to him, he will be okay, but if not, he will hide inside his house, quarantining himself, for three days.
