The Electroplankton universe refers to the game Electroplankton in reference to its appearance within the Super Smash Bros. fighting game series. Electroplankton is a relatively-obscure interactive music tool created by Toshio Iwai.
In canon Super Smash Bros. titles, Electroplankton has received generally minor representation. Super Smash Bros. Brawl included a stage based off one of its sub-sections and included various stickers of the Electroplankton creatures, but the series was dropped from Super Smash Bros. 4.

Hanenbow | Hanenbow is based off the Electroplankton sub-section of the same game, which was released as a standalone title as DSiWare and later on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Hanenbow consists of various tree-like structures with leaves that act as platforms. Unlike other stages, Hanenbow does not have any background music; instead, attacking the leaves of the trees creates ambient sound effects and can change their angle and colour. |

Hanenbow | The small purple creatures from the Hanenbow program of Electroplankton appear as Smash Run enemies under the name of Hanenbow. These creatures jump in large arcs, travelling through the ground or other enemies to damage the fighter they touch. |
