Alfonso (Japanese: アルベルト Aruberuto) is a lazy alligator villager from the Animal Crossing series, appearing in all canonical games since Dōbutsu no Mori. Alfonso is based off of Mario, the main character of the Super Mario series.

Alfonso, under his Japanese name, Albert, appeared as a major character in the Dōbutsu no Mori film release solely in Japan. In the film, he is the best friend of Yu.

Appearance[]

Alfonso's design has elements of Nintendo's mascot Mario from the Super Mario series. Alfonso not only mimics Mario's "it's a me" quote as his initial phrase, but he also wears the Big Bro Shirt, which features the "M" emblem on Mario's cap. He is a burnt-umber orange with a white jaw, cheeks, and stomach. There are darker circles of orange on his face, legs, and arms.

House[]

Imperial K.K.

In Animal Crossing, Alfonso's house has exotic furniture, four mini rhythmoids, two house plants, a toilet, and a white boom box. He has an imperial wall, and a basement floor. His stereo plays Imperial K.K..

Forest Life

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, his house has three mini rhythmoids, an exotic chest and an exotic table, a glass-top table, a men's toilet a house plant and a retro stereo which plays Forest Life. He has an imperial wall and charcoal floor. His house in Animal Crossing: City Folk, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and My Animal Crossing is nearly the same, only missing one Rhthymoid.

Personality[]

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Alfonso will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares an interest in food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food (fishing). He will get along well with other villager types such as the normal villagers who act as a mother or elder sister figure and peppy villagers who appear to be around the same age. He may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, who do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice.

Appearances[]

My Animal Crossing[]

Alfonso appears in the Wii U Animal Crossing installment once again as a villager. Alfonso likes to tell the player stories about adventures, and tells of a young kid named Yu who he once befriended. Alfonso hints at wanting to become an author. Alfonso also mentions that he wants to go diving into a pool of chocolate.

Alfonso's favourite holiday is April Fool's Day. On this day, he will tell of a story where he and Yu pranked the entire town by reversing the clocks by three hours.
