Big Top (3ごう, #3) is a lazy elephant villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appears in Dōbutsu no Mori e+ and also Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. His name may be a reference to the main arena of a circus, the big top, where you are likely to find elephants. It may also be a joke, on the size of elephants, who are large mammals. His initial phrase, "villain", plays along with his superhero charm and appearance. Some believe he may be a take on the villain appearance out of the other two superhero villagers, Kid Cat and Agent S, with his picture quote being "world domination" and his phrase could be a tag placed on him to mark him as the evil doer in the game, though it depends on opinion.
Appearance[]
He initially wears a No. 3 shirt, which matches his green helmet. He is unique in wearing a helmet, much like Agent S, Kid Cat and Rocket, who are also the only villagers to wear helmets. He has typical cartoon elephant colouring, with pale grey skin and pale pink inside his ears. His mouth is on the right side of his face.
House[]
In Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: Wild World, Big Top has a Boxing Theme in his house leading people to believe that he is a jock villager. He has the boxing barricade, blue corner, judge's bell, ringside table, weight bench, two boxing mats, speed bag, a scale, and a stereo which plays K.K. Metal. His house looks very similar to Camofrog's.

As a lazy villager, Big Top will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares an interest in food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food (fishing). He will get along well with other villager types such as the normal villagers who act as a mother or elder sister figure and peppy villagers who appear to be around the same age. He may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, who do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice.

My Animal Crossing[]
Big Top appears as a lazy elephant villager in the Wii U installment of the Animal Crossing series, My Animal Crossing. In the game, he is one of the four superheroes (although one of the two supervillains) who can move into your town, as he is the "main antagonist of [the] game". Big Top, like all the superheroes appears on an in-game television show, and on a wall furniture item called "Supers Poster", which depicts the four sperheroes/villains facing off.
Big Top's favourite holiday is Halloween, as he loves to dress up in costumes (referencing the fact that he is in a supervillain costume), and scare people.
