Beedle is a shopkeeper found within the Zelda universe, usually making his shop on various vehicles used for transportation. In The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, Beedle lives (and works) on his Shop Ship, where he gives discounts to Link if he buys enough items from him. In the latter game, Beedle can only be found in one area, while all other Shop Ships are run by a man named "Masked Beedle". In Spirit Tracks, a descendant of Beedle's works and lives in a hot-air balloon that flies around Hyrule. He can be called down by using Spirit Train's whistle, which will make him land near the player. In Skyward Sword, Beedle works in a blimp where he pedals around Skyloft. At night, he can be found on a small island named "Beedle's Island", where he lives alongside his best friend, a Horned Colossus Beetle. Beedle also appears as a merchant in The Minish Cap where he works in Hyrule Castle Town selling Picolyte.

Appearances[]

Super Smash Fail[]

Beedle appears as a default character in the baby waffle Smash Bros. game, Super Smash Fail. In the game, Beedle goes by his The Wind Waker (HD) appearance, and is a fast character lacking in jumping ability.

Beedle is able to throw pots, bait bags and (rarely) Fishmen at his opponents, each doing around 15% (side special). He is also able to grab balloons to fly upward (up special), or (weakly) punch his opponents (neutral special). His down special is a replica of Toon Link's from Brawl and SSB4, as he throws a bomb.

Trivia[]

  • Beedle is one of the few characters from the Zelda series with actual voice acting, as he says "Byyyyyye" to Link when he leaves his shop in The Wind Waker (HD).
