LEGO DC Superheroes 3: Trial of the Justice League (known as LEGO Batman 3: Calling All Heroes in the UK) is a fan-made installment to the LEGO games by AdamGregory03 (talk). The game is released for the Wii U, Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Picking up from where LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes left off, a meteor is reported heading towards Earth, Metropolis to be exact, with scientists predicting that the result of impact could be devastating. Clark Kent becomes Superman and flies up to stop the meteor. He manages to stop the meteor midair and hurl it away from Metropolis into nearby mountains, as the people of Metropolis cheer for they're hero. It then cuts to the mountains where the meteor landed, revealing that it wasn't actually a meteor, but a space pod shaped like one. The pod's doors open and the Brainiac comes out, saying that he has arrived, and will begin his goal to defeat Superman.
Meanwhile, in Gotham City, we see what appears to be Batman brooding about being a hero, until Bruce Wayne comes in and turns on the lights, revealing it was actually Robin impersonating Batman. Bruce simply tells Robin to stop horsing around as the bat signal is in the sky. It turns out that the Joker and Two-Face have teamed up to break into Bruce Wayne's vault.
The gameplay follows heavily from the previous installment, LEGO MARVEL Super Heroes. The game will feature similar character mechanics, as well as the option for Gotham City or Metropolis as your free-roam world, each world having its own set of levels, missions, and unlockable characters.
Many of the characters below are unlocked either throughout the course of the story mode levels, as well as bonus levels. However, most characters must either be fought or encountered in the free-roam worlds of Gotham City or Metropolis. It is confirmed there will be one hundred and twenty playable characters, including twelve characters available as downloadable content.

- Robin's new model is similar to the Damian Wayne model in LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes, which was a character available as downloadable content.
- Emmett, Wyldstyle, and Uni-Kitty appear as downloadable characters because of the appearances of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern in The LEGO Movie and it's video game counterpart.
- The Flash also made a cameo appearance in the film.
