Lucario (Japanese: ルカリオ Lucario) is a dual-type Fighting / Steel-type Pokémon.
It evolves from Riolu when leveled up with high friendship during the day. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Lucario using the Lucarionite. Mega Lucario has the ability Adaptability, and its Attack, Defense, Special Attack, and Speed stats are increased.
Lucario is a bipedal, jackal-like Pokémon, with fur that is predominantly blue and black. It possesses a short, round spike on the back of each forepaw, in addition to a third on its chest. Lucario's snout and ears are longer than those of its pre-evolution, Riolu. It possesses cream-colored fur on its torso, and blue fur on its thighs that resembles shorts. Like its pre-evolution, Lucario stands on its toes rather than on its entire foot. It has developed four small black appendages on its head, which rise when Lucario reads or manipulates aura.
Through the use of a Mega Stone, Lucario can Mega Evolve into Mega Lucario. Mega Lucario's appendages will become longer, and will become red at the end of each of them. It's forepaws and feet will also become red. Mega Lucario will gain more black stripes on its head, and some on its legs and arms. Its tail will become very bushy, and turns cream-colored. It will gain spikes on its shoulders & feet, and will gain more on its paws. Mega Lucario's eyes will become orange.
Lucario returns as a playable Pokémon in Pokkén Tournament 2. Much like in the original Pokkén Tournament, Lucario primarily utilizes a variety of physical attacks. Lucario is once again classified as a Standard fighter.
