Mario Party 9 is the tenth home console installment of the Mario Party series and first for the Wii U. The game was developed by Nd Cube. It is also the thirteenth in the main series (sixteenth in Japan). It was released in Australia on March 3, 2015, Australia on June 30 and North America on September 30, 2015. It will later be released in Japan on December 31, 2015. The host of the game is Donkey Kong Jr for the boards while Alex and Nina is the host for minigames and Neil and Ella appear near the end of Boards to initiate an event similar to the Last Five Turns Event from past games.
