A Poké Spot is a location in Orre where wild Pokémon can be found and battled. Due to Orre primarily being a wasteland, it does not have an abundance of Pokémon, as many would be unable to survive within the harsher conditions. Poké Spots debuted in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness in which there are three: the Oasis Poké Spot, the Cave Poké Spot, and the Rock Poké Spot.
Pokémon that are found at Poké Spots loosely correspond to the terrain of the spot, though can offer a variety of different Pokémon.
Sometime after Pokémon Colosseum, Poké Spots were established due to the growing population of Pokémon in certain areas. In this game, there are three Poké Spots: the Cave Poké Spot is located within a cavern on Mt. Battle; the Oasis Poké Spot is located in western Orre near Pyrite Town; and the Rock Poké Spot is located in eastern Orre near the Outskirts Stand.
Poké Spots return in Pokémon PD: Twilight Squall. Due to the terraforming of Orre, there are now six Poké Spots, and the amount of Pokémon that can be found at each are much larger. The six Poké Spots are the returning Rock, Cave, and Oasis Poké Spots; the Ice Poké Spot located in an underground cavern near Phenac City; the Forest Poké Spot located north of Gateon Port; and the Ruins Poké Spot located in the remains of the now-destroyed Cipher Key Lair.
