| Perfect Dark|
|Publisher|| Rare Ltd.,|
|First release||Perfect Dark (2000)|
|Console of origin||Nintendo 64|
The Perfect Dark universe refers to the Perfect Dark series in reference to its representation within the Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games. The series, owned by Rare Ltd. (and consequently Microsoft Game Studios), is a first-person shooter following the character of Joanna Dark.
The universe received minor representation in the form of two items. While the Japanese release directly mentioned the series, international versions of Melee instead replaced all mentions of "Perfect Dark" with "TOP SECRET" due to negotiations between Microsoft and Rare Ltd. going on at the time. Later iterations of the Smash Bros. series including the motion-sensor bomb will change its appearance and classify it as an original item.
It is one of the two Rare Ltd. series to be represented in the Smash Bros. series, the other being GoldenEye.

| ||The Motion-Sensor Bomb is, as its name implies, a bomb that is activated once stepped on. The bomb sticks to various surfaces, including walls and floors.|
Super Smash Bros. Melee Edit
| ||The Motion-Sensor Bomb returns from Super Smash Bros. and acts identically to its appearance in said title. In the Japanese version, its design is based directly on its Perfect Dark appearance, but international versions change it.|
| ||The Cloaking Device is a new effect-based item introduced in Melee. Similar to its Perfect Dark appearance, the fighter that grabs it turns invisible for a short time.|
| ||Cloaking Device||This state-of-the-art camouflage device bends light rays in such a way that players using it appear almost invisible. The device fosters confusion, and players using it will not take damage while cloaked. This does not mean, however, that players become invulnerable, so they can still be sent reeling or flying across the screen, depending on their damage percentages.|
| ||Motion-Sensor Bomb||The perfect accessory for ambushes, the proximity mine has long been a favorite covert weapon of the Carrington Institute any surface [sic], and once armed, detonates with incredible force when it detects motion within its range. In the frantic world of Super Smash Bros., it doesn't take long for it to go.|
