Pokéstar Studios, a location in Unova, allows the player to be the star of various films. Some of these films feature unique opponents aptly dubbed the "Pokéstar Studios Opponents" by fans. These creatures are coded to act like actual Pokémon, having their own movesets, typing, and abilities; though they can not be obtained by the player, even through hacking.

Black Belt (Japanese: カラテおう Karate King) is a  Fighting -type opponent.

The Black Belt is fought as part of two films: Timegate Traveler 2: Pokémon Planet and Timegate Traveler 3: Escape From Pokémon Planet.

The Black Belt appears as one of the two "Pokémon" used by a Ledian from a dystopian future where Pokémon have enslaved humans. During his first fight, he holds a Rocky Helmet; during his second fight, he instead holds a Red Card.

Throughout both his appearances, the Black Belt knows the following attacks: Focus Punch, Mach Punch, Taunt, Hammer Arm, and Jump Kick. In his first battle, he knows Focus Punch, Mach Punch, and Taunt; while he knows Hammer Arm, Jump Kick, and Mach Punch in his second.

The credits to both Timegate Traveler films in which he appears names him "Ledian's Human", and is portrayed by "Black Belt". In-battle, he is referred to as "Black Belt".

Monica (Japanese: モニカ Monica) is a  Normal -type opponent.

Prior to becoming a giantess, Monica was Rosa's sister/Nate's girlfriend. The player and Monica engage in an argument because of Nate/Rosa's purchasing of a strange Poké Ball that ends up capturing and cursing her.

Monica is fought in two films: The Giant Woman 3: Trials of the Giant Woman and The Giant Woman 4: Farewell, Dear Giant.

In both instances in which Monica is fought, it is under the command of Mystery Man River. In both fights, she is at level 99 and holds no item.

Monica knows a total of seven different moves throughout both of the battles against her. In her first battle she knows Focus Punch, Rage, Growl, and Crush Grip; while in the second she knows Crush Grip, DoubleSlap, Teeter Dance, and Stomp.

Before Monica is cursed to be a giantess, she is portrayed by a female Clerk named Karla. As "The Giant Woman", she is portrayed instead by a woman named Monica; though this may refer to the character, and she may still be portrayed by Karla.
