Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty hunter, has fought her way across a variety of planets in the Metroid™ series. Orphaned at an early age, she was taken in and raised by the alien race known as the Chozo. The Power Suit she wears is a product of their technology. Her unique combat skills combined with her athleticism and Arm Cannon have seen her through countless missions.
For information on the fighter for which this amiibo becomes, see Samus (SSBStrife).
All variations of the Samus amiibo are compatible with Super Smash Bros. Strife. Like with Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, the amiibo becomes a Figure Player (FP) when scanned. While computer-controlled, the amiibo levels up as it fights, learning from its opponents as it does. Unlike in Super Smash Bros. 4, it can be levelled up to level 80 as opposed to 50. The FP collects collectible items during battle, which can be fully obtained by scanning the amiibo in the amiibo menu.
Data from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U is compatible with Super Smash Bros. Strife. Data from Super Smash Bros. Strife is not compatible with Super Smash Bros. 4, however, due to the higher level cap.
The Samus amiibo, like all other amiibo, is compatible with Hyrule Warriors II. Like most other amiibo, the Samus amiibo does not have unique content attached to it, instead just granting a random award when used. Scanning the Samus amiibo will grant the player a random material, a random weapon rated three stars or lower, a single Rupee, or a random amount of Rupees between 100 and 2500.
