Hitmonchan (エビワラー Ebiwalar) is the Fighting-type Punching Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Tyrogue starting at level 20 when Tyrogue's Defense is higher than its Attack. It is one of Tyrogue's final forms, the others being Hitmonlee and Hitmontop.

In Super Smash Bros. Universe, Hitmonchan will dash about the stage to opponents, attacking by dealing two straight punches and an uppercut. The punches do a good amount of damage, and the uppercut is devastatingly powerful. Hitmonchan acts very similar to Little Mac in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is uncommon to find.

In Super Smash Bros. Universe, Gyarados will appear instead of Magikarp on a very rare occasion. It will use Twister to whip up a vicious tornado that traps nearby opponents. Any player that gets trapped in the tornado will be one-hit KO'd.
