Takeru & Hikari Adventures is a platformer video game featuring characters from the Azumanga Preschool spin-off "Takeru & Hikari" developed by Azumanga Interactive, published by Bandai Namco Games, and co-published by Capcom for the Bandai Extreme and Chaos.
The game keeps the same gameplay elements from the NES Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 game that was used in The Geeky Sisters, but now adds more items. There's also a character selection screen added to the game.
The Bandai Extreme version adds voice overs to the characters.
Plot
Takeru, Hikari, Mikan, and the others (depending on what character you are playing as) were playing at a playground, until they got tired and fell asleep on a bench. They all dreamed about going on a huge adventure through a world of make-believe. In their dream, they come across different places they have never been to: a jungle, a forest, the arctic, and many others. While on their adventure, they bump into certain creatures they have to fight against.
After beating the final boss, the kids get a crystal that woke them all up. When the kids woke up, they noticed Takeru holding the crystal from their dream and the kids were shocked about it.

The game has a character selection screen allowing you to play as either Takeru, Hikari, Mikan, Hotaru, Koushiro, Mimi, Sora, Izumi, Nonoko, Anna, Sumire, and Wakako. All characters play the same, except Hotaru and Sumire can jump higher and throw boxes much faster than the others.
A few new items are added to the gameplay, like a bubble which will protect you from getting instantly killed by water, a bottle of tabasco sauce which will let you shoot fireballs that will kill enemies and inflict damage on bosses, and a bomb that will kill enemies on screen.
Trivia
- This is the only Takeru & Hikari game that doesn't use any Digimon creatures unlike the others.
