Town and City is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Strife, returning from . It is based upon Animal Crossing: City Folk (known as Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City in Europe), with the stage travelling between the town and city from that game.
The time of day shown during battle is dependant on the time set on the console's clock.
Stage Layout Edit
The stage's layout is simple, but the layout of the small semi-soft platforms varies depending on whether the stage is set in the town or the city; with no platforms appearing as it transitions between them. No matter the stage's setting, the stage will primarily be set on a long wooden platform.
When set in the town, there are three platforms present above the stage: two off to the sides, and one in the middle that floats closer to the stage
Unlike in the town, while in the city, there are only two platforms. The two platforms hover off to the sides of the stage, but not as far apart and slightly lower than the ones found in the town.
Certain characters from the Animal Crossing series can appear in the background of the stage. These characters are:
- Crazy Redd
- Don Resetti
- Dr. Shrunk
- Mr. Resetti
- Tom Nook
K.K. Slider Edit
When the stage is the setting of battle on Saturday nights after 8:00pm, K.K. Slider will appear in the background of the town variant, and will perform one of several songs that can only be heard during this time. All songs are their vocal/live versions, and are directly ripped from Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
Six of the nine songs also appeared in the same capacity in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
