Velma is a pink goat. She is sometimes is mistaken for a male because she has a beard which all goats have. She wears glasses and has dark pink freckles. Her ears stick out abnormally. She has brown hair and stereotypical "nerd-glasses". She looks like Velma Dinkley of Scooby-Doo, who also has similar brown hair and glasses. Her initial clothing is the Cool Shirt in Dōbutsu no Mori, Animal Crossing and Dōbutsu no Mori e+, and the Swell Shirt in New Leaf.

In her house, Velma has many books and library-esque items laid out in an organized manor. She also owns Gyroids and plays Café K.K. in her house when she has a stereo.

Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, click here.
Velma has a snooty personality, which means she will appear arrogant and snobbish towards the player and other villagers, but will appear friendly and nice in some discussions, provided they are mature and do not insult her lifestyle. She finds appearance important, and will get angry or upset if someone criticizes her sense of style or fitness, which means a conversation between her and a villager with a jock personality may leave either one upset or angry. Her attitude towards the player changes, as she begins to warm up to them, but she will still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. She may not get on with lazy villagers, due to their lifestyles - lazy villagers having a strong interest in food or relaxing of which will make her uncomfortable, angry, and upset when in conversation. She will upset peppy villagers, usually by gossiping about them, and finding small things to judge them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky, and other snooty villagers. If she gets sick, she will refer to you as her "only friend."

My Animal CrossingEdit

Velma appears as a villager in the Wii U installment of the Animal Crossing series, My Animal Crossing. In the game, she is a snooty goat villager, and is drawn towards the Resort-type towns. She often talks about books and says random "Did You Know" facts that, frankly, nobody cares about.

Velma likes to read and study, preferring to spend Holidays alone in her house. She will, however, attend both the Thanksgiving dinner and New Year's party. In the fall season, Velma often hints about her favourite holiday being Thanksgiving.
