Windy Hill Zone is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Strife, returning from Super Smash Bros. 4. It is inspired by the first world of Sonic Lost World. Though not directly based on a single level, it incorporates various level design features including springs and rotating platforms.
Stage Layout[]
The stage's main platform is large, and floating high above the ground of the actual Windy Hill Zone. The platform has a slight slant in the centre of the platform, and is curved slightly with the curvature of the earth below. Three small semi-soft platforms rest above the main platform.
To the left of the stage is a spring, which will at times spin around. Unlike in Sonic Lost World, the spring is double-sided, so fighters can be bounced downwards should they hit it from below.
To the right of the main platform is a windmill-like device, which has several platforms mounted to its blades.
Seven animal friends from the Sonic franchise - Flicky, Pecky, Picky, Pocky, Cucky, Ricky, and Rocky - cameo in the background of the stage; standing on the main platform to watch the fight.
