The Yakuman universe refers to the Yakuman series in reference to its representation within the Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games. Yakuman is a series of games based upon the game of Japanese Mahjong. It is named after the rarest winning hand in Mahjong, the Yakuman.
The Yakuman series has seen minor representation in canon Super Smash Bros. titles, with only the character on the cover of the Game Boy instalment having a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It could also be argued that the Yakuman series can be considered a spin-off universe of the Super Smash Bros. universe, as various instalments allow the player to use Mii characters in-game; or the Super Mario universe, as characters from the series appear in Yakuman DS.
