Yoshi's Island, also sometimes referred to as Yoshi's Island (Melee), is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Strife, returning from Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is based upon the grassland levels that make up the first world of Super Mario World: Yoshi's Island.
Birdo and Shy Guy are fought here in their unlocking battles once the criteria to do so has been met.
Stage Layout[]
Though Yoshi's Island is a primarily flat stage, it stands out by having hills at both ends of the main platform, with the one on the right ascending off-screen and the one on the left leading to a pit. Aside from the two hills, the main platform also has three sets of three Rotating Blocks, which spin around when hit. Two of these sets float high above the main platform, while the third extends between the small pit in the centre of the stage to act as a bridge.
